OPEN CALL FOR A RECENT GRADUATE

12-Week Artist Residency at Victoria House, Margate

The Tracey Emin Foundation is excited to offer a 12-week artist residency at Victoria House in Margate, a beautiful Georgian home shared by a small community of artists. The residency includes free accommodation  and a private studio

We are looking for a UK-based emerging artist graduating in 2025 from a BA or Post -graduate course 

Artists working across any artistic discipline are encouraged to apply.

What’s Included: 

  • Accommodation in a large Georgian house (Victoria House, Margate)  You will share the house with 3 others, each person has their own ensuite bathroom 

  • A private studio for the residency duration 

  • Time and space to develop your creative work 

  • Opportunities for community engagement and peer feedback 

  • Optional informal critique and sharing sessions 

  • Access to life drawing sessions, talks and social events at TKE Studios 

  • Potential to exhibit works at the end or post residency. 

    Please note: Accommodation and studio are provided by the Foundation. Residents are responsible for their own living expenses, including travel, food, art materials and personal costs

Eligibility: 

  • Graduating in 2025 with a BA or MA degree.  Alternative post-graduate programmes also considered 

  • Based in the UK with legal status to live and work in the country 

  • Available to commit to the full 12 weeks of the residency 

This is a self-directed residency. We encourage proposals that demonstrate a clear personal vision and openness to exploration and growth.

  • A project proposal or outline of your focus during the residency (max. 500 words) 

  • 5–10 images and links showcasing relevant work
